Whether you need a new gift for a new mama in your life for her birthday, the holidays, or just because she had a new baby, she’s guaranteed to love these gifts!
1. Laundry Service

This is a genius gift and I promise the new mama in your life will love this! A laundry service works by picking up your laundry, washing, drying, and folding it, and then it can be delivered the next day!
I recommend doing this for about 3 months to help get her through the toughest time. During the first months, she’ll likely be sleep-deprived, focused on trying to make the breastfeeding relationship work, and trying to heal her body which includes trying to squeeze in time for herself!
This gift will allow her to do all of these things and more!
2. A Stroller Organizer
Hello, practical gift!
When you’re a mom you have a lot more things you need to bring everywhere. This stroller organizer is clever and practical. It’ll be a gift she uses almost daily for a long time!
3. Take Her Other Child to the Playground

If she has another older child take them to the playground or somewhere else fun!
This will be so helpful because she’s still trying to figure out a balance trying to ensure her other child/children get enough attention too. In the meantime, this is a fantastic gift that will make her feel relieved that her other little one got to do something fun and active that day.
4. A Postpartum Sitz/Herbal Bath

A postpartum sitz bath helps her heal after birth by bringing blood flow to the perineum which will help relax her muscles and promote wound healing!
And herbal postpartum baths soothe sore perineal muscles and can hemorrhoids she may have from childbirth.
5. Bring Her a Cooked Meal (the more servings, the better!)

If you can only bring her a quick meal on the way over that’s fantastic too but optimally a home-cooked meal with many servings for her family. This gift will save her and her family some time, multitasking, and planning! She’ll be very grateful for this one.
6. Do a Chore When You Visit

Always ask or observe something that needs to be done when you visit and do that for the new mama! This is a simple and fast way you can be incredibly supportive while seeing her and the baby.
7. An Eye Mask for Those Daytime Naps

A satin eye mask is a perfect gift! New mothers should try to rest and nap when they can and this gift would help encourage them to do so!
Plus, the satin or silk material is gentle on the skin, other materials can strip your skin of natural oils.
8. Always Ask if She Needs Anything from the Store Before You Visit

It can be extremely difficult to get to the store with a new baby. And when you have kids, yesterday you may not have needed anything, but today you could need something ASAP!
Be sure to ask if she needs anything even if you’re not planning to go to the store already. She’ll thank you for considering her because gestures like this mean a ton for a new mama.
9. The Balanced Breastfeeding Course

Check out The Balanced Breastfeeding Course for 18 chapters (with video lessons) to learn everything you need to know to breastfeed your baby as long as you desire.
Breastfeeding is often not recognized at first for how hard it really is.
This course includes bonuses such as a breastmilk storage safety guide (you can easily laminate and put it on your fridge), a baby feeding log, and a postpartum nursing cart checklist!
If you want to help make her life easier for weeks, months, and even years, check out The Balanced Breastfeeding Course.
10. Coffee! (Or tea if that’s her thing)

Does this one need to be explained?
When I was a postpartum mama, (up to a year after having my first daughter), I always loved it when my friend or one of my family members got me a coffee or brought me coffee for home!
For a whole year, it was more challenging to make it to the store whenever I wanted. There’s teething, sleep deprivation, sickness, etc. Babies are lots of work for a long time, therefore your support to a mama is always valued.
11. A Haakaa
Haakaa’s are the best! Plus, they’re inexpensive!
It works by attaching it to the breast you’re not feeding on to collect the let-down and create milk storage without even trying!
occasionally for a date night, girls’ night out, etc. A Haakaa would even be all she needs to create that milk storage.
Instead of an electric pump, it uses slight suction when the breasts are ready for expression to collect the milk. Genius!
12. A New Cozy Sleep Shirt
If the new mama is spending lots of time at home, another new cozy sleep shirt to add to her wardrobe is a lovely gift.
13. A Baby Wrap
If she doesn’t already have a baby wrap, this will be a gift she’ll never forget you got her.

Benefits of babywearing include:
- Strengthening the bond between parent and baby
- Aiding in early language development
- Decreasing risk of SIDS and flat-head syndrome
- Promoting neural development
- Allowing mom to breastfeed on the go
- Boosting her milk production due to close contact with her baby
- Allowing for or her partner to be hands-free while getting other things done
- Providing a gentle transition from the womb to the world (it mimics being carried around in the uterus!)
- Less crying from baby
- Increasing the rates of breastfeeding in older babies
Plus, there are even more benefits! So, you get the point, this is a fantastic gift if mama doesn’t already have one.
My favorite is the Solly Baby Wrap because of its stretchy and soft material. It’s more supportive than many other stretchy wraps as the baby gains weight and they still allow for nursing in the wrap!
14. A Boppy Breastfeeding Pillow
A breastfeeding pillow isn’t a necessity but can be supportive for some nursing positions such as the cradle hold, football hold, cross-cradle hold, etc.!
They’re supportive by letting go of the need for mom to hold baby up with her arms, allowing her to rest back and enjoy the feeding time as she should!

I personally have used the Boppy and loved it. It’s the perfect amount of firmness, it’s comfortable, and you can get an adorable cover for it that fits the mama’s personality! They even have organic options too! Plus, the whole pillow can be easily washed in a washing machine.
15. Breastmilk Storage Bags or Containers
A breastfeeding mama will never have enough milk storage bags or containers! But check in with mom what her preference is. Some mamas stick to the bags and some prefer the glass containers.
The Unimom storage bags are a great deal on amazon and they’re BPA free which is a necessity for anything holding her breastmilk.
If she needs and uses containers, these small glass mason jars with silicone tops will work great!
